Wait, I think you’re living my life

I am speaking of Alice Feiring, a wine writer and champion of natural wines who writes a wine blog that I read religiously. She has a gift for writing and an amazingly refreshing take on the wine world.

And after reading her latest post, I am convinced she is living my life.  By that I mean, when I dream a life for me, it would definitely include this: a twelve-bottle tasting of old wines (at least one wine for each decade starting in the 1920’s).

The line-up:

’82 Lanson Brut •Magnum

’21 Ch. Rauzan-Gassies
’37 C. Vienot Charmes Chambertin
’49 Seguin-Manuel Beaune “Clos de Mouches”
’57 Jadot Corton Charlemagne
’62 Laville Haut Brion Blanc
’67 Domaine de Chevalier Rouge

’78 Confuron-Cotetidot Vosne Romanee “Les Suchots”
’89 D’Angerville Volnay “Clos de Ducs”
’90 Leroy Meursault “Les Charmes”
’03 Rouget Vosne Romanee “Cros Parantoux”
’53 Ch. Doisy-Daene

I  can’t wait to read her notes on this tasting.

Cheers.
